   18 Jun 2015

It’s an invitation for you to become a Gold Supporter of Tullamore Rugby Club.

Please say you will – we need you!

Let me explain...

As you read through your invitation you’ll see that something really wonderful is currently happening in Tullamore Rugby Club. And the wonderful thing is that more and more volunteers are coming forward to offer their expertise and services for free to help us build new showers and dressing rooms for our rapidly growing club.

You’ll read that as part of this hugely active project we’ve put together a very attractive Gold Supporters Package to help us fund the material costs.

And the purpose of this email is to ask you if you will please become a Gold Supporter by donating €350 to the success of this project.

Please say you will – we’re depending on the friendship and goodwill of friends like you to make this a real success story.

Have a look at your attached invitation.

Warm regards

Paddy Galvin / Gold Supporters Package Co-ordinator

The Background

Following a big increase in rugby participation over the last number of years our player facilities – dressing rooms and showers – are under severe pressure in dealing with the demands of the number of games. The successful introduction of women’s rugby in the last two years and the increased numbers of teams at Mini and Youth rugby where we now field teams at every age group from U6 to U 19 is the fundamental driver for these additional facilities

The club Executive had got approval for the construction of 2 additional dressing rooms, showers and water harvesting facility. The club application to the National Lottery in 2014 was unsuccessful but following offers of support re the construction of the new facilities the Executive have agreed at their January 2015 Executive meeting to proceed with the project which will be done by direct labour and club volunteers.

The project will co-ordinated by a committee Chaired by Club Chairman Billy Fryday. This committee will coordinate the funding, volunteers and work to ensure that the project is brought to a successful completion.
