Tullamore got the new season off to a winning start with a 10 point win away to old rivals Navan last Saturday. It was a good start for an experimental side led by captain Ivor Scully and new coach Geoff Kenny. The game saw the return from long term injury of Conor Molloy and a terrific debut in the back row by John Hayes.Tullamore also had a nice mixture of experienced and young players. It was a game largely dominated by Tullamore who showed more hunger and admirable fitness levels. Tullamore lede 13-3 at the break and ran out comfortable 23-13 winners in the end.They scored 2 tries from Conor Molloy and John Hayes while Odhran McIntyre kicked 2 conversions and 3 penalties.
