Irish Rugby Stars of the Future Descend on Tullamore RFC

   08 Apr 2018

Irish rugby players of the future gathered in their droves at Tullamore Rugby Club this past weekend for the IRFU Aviva Mini Rugby Festival!

Over 28 teams, comprising of 500 u10 and u12 boys and girls from all across the country took part on the day, with some fantastic rugby and sportsmanship on display.

This was not a small feat and took significant planning and organisation from the club. A massive thank you must go out to the many parents, grandparents and club members that assisted on the day, in all sorts of ways - catering, parking, pitch coordination and cleaning. The Tulliers club spirit was clear for all to see, and fingers crossed it made a good impression on all those who attended.

The generosity of the locals didn't stop there, the Harriers were also kind enough to provide parking, while Killeigh based Glenisk were on site handing out IRFU playing cards and refueling the players with tasty protein yoghurts.

Finally, a massive well done to all our own u10 boys and u12 girls who played some excellent rugby and made lots of new friends on the day!

As the future of the club, it's important that we support these young players. It's also important that their family members support the club in return, so that the longevity of the club can be secured. Hence we're looking for volunteers to host Come Dine With Me later this month and early next month.
