On the 12th of March, Tullamore RFC will play host to Midlands Club Symposium which is a club administration night that aims to impart valuable information to a range of club members in an effort to enhance and improve the labours of administrative officers in clubs throughout the midlands...
There will be three strands to the presentation, with an emphasis on concise and pertinent information.
Sandy Dunlop (of Terenure College RFC) will present a talk of the role of Volunteers within our rugby community. In his presentation he will describe the "2020 Vision" project Terenure have established to put the recruitment of volunteers in context, volunteer strategy and that "dos & don'ts" of volunteer recruitment, retention and reward.
Under the heading of "Communication Strategy & Social Media" Elma Beirne (of Leinster Rugby) will outline the importance of having a cohesive communication strategy as well as a network of community contacts. Elma will touch on the use of website and social media to communicate and those 10 commandments of communication.
Rob Hartnett (of Sport for Business) will make his presentation on the crucial topic of Finance. Rob will focus on the variety of revenue streams, fundraising versus sponsorship versus commercial partnerships.
The evening will conclude with a focused open forum and a questions & answers session. Not only will this be a chance to broaden the knowledge base it is a valuable networking opportunity within our rugby community.
